Operations Manager
Pacific Opera is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our dynamic team. As the Operations Manager, you will play a vital role in overseeing and managing the logistics of our organisation, ensuring smooth and efficient day-to-day operations. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an exceptional program that inspires and fosters the development of emerging Australian opera artists and contributes to the vibrant arts and culture sector of NSW. Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement operational strategies to support the artistic vision and objectives of Pacific Opera.

Oversee the planning and execution of events, rehearsals, and performances, including budgeting and resource allocation, ensuring a positive experience for artists, staff, and audience members.

Collaborate with the Artistic Team and Board of Directors to ensure seamless coordination and communication of the program.

Negotiate and maintain relationships with all stakeholders.

Manage and monitor production budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and adherence to approved budgets.

Monitor and evaluate operational and program performance, identifying improvement areas and implementing new growth and development methods.
Our Ideal Candidate

Proven experience in an arts management position, qualification in arts management or similar practical experience.

Excellent organisational and event management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders.

A proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to anticipate and address challenges.

Understanding of opera production requirements and ability to read music is favourable.

Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required, particularly during production periods.

Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and within a team.

Experience with grant and funding application processes regarded highly
