Pacific Opera provides professional development and training to twelve Young Artists and provides access to masterclasses and additional opportunities to our Developing Artists, who are often in the process of completing their tertiary studies. Our training includes masterclasses on vocal technique, auditioning, languages, stage craft and opera role studies.
Our long-standing relationship with the Willoughby Symphony Orchestra provides our artists with valuable opportunities to perform regularly with a well-established orchestra, and our singers have the chance to be mentored by some of Australia's greatest artists.
COVID-19 has been a challenge for the arts worldwide, and our team has worked hard to facilitate learning and performance opportunities for our Young Artists and Developing Artists as COVID-19 protocols have allowed.
Our Young Artists have take a deep-dive into role studies spanning the operatic canon and are carefully guided in the development of audition packages that will serve them well into the future, whatever it may hold.
In spite of the many uncertainties in the current artistic climate, we are taking this opportunity to help our artists expand their repertoire, deepen their stagecraft and acting skills. You can meet our 2021 Young Artists in more depth on our 2021 Young Artist page.
