Pacific Opera has been preparing and developing the next generation of Australian opera singers since 2009. With over 300 participants since its inception, Pacific Opera has produced professional opera singers working in Australia and Internationally. The purpose and driver behind Pacific Opera is to fill the gap between tertiary education and gaining professional work within an opera company. The appointment of a new creative team in Peter Coleman-Wright AO, Cheryl Barker AO and Bradley Gilchrist, has led to a re-evaluation of the Young Artist Program and its delivery.
