Opera at the Forum (2012)

The Deluded Bridegroom (1783)
By Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

You are cordially invited to the wedding of Bettina and …?
The beautiful Bettina is promised to marry the foolish, but rich,
Pulcherio. Madly in love with the penniless Almiro, she pretends to
faint and engineers a ruse for Almiro to rescue her from the impending
wedding.

The Deluded Bridegroom is a comedy full of mischief, mayhem and the
spark of young love. Arranged and adapted from surviving fragments
from a largely incomplete work, this one-act opera is Mozart at his
delightful best!

Highlights from La Boheme (1896)
By Giacomo Puccini

A carefree band of friends. Hungry for life, love and full of the
ideals of youth. When cabaret star Musetta sings she is the most
beautiful woman in the world. When the idealistic writer Rodolfo meets
the innocent seamstress Mimì the passion blazes in their hearts. But
love won’t pay the rent.
Performing highlights such as Musetta’s waltz and scenes from Act III and IV.
